The Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) works to improve health care for all patients and families facing serious illness, across three main objectives. Aligned with those objectives, CAPC will focus its next year on: 1) strengthening the palliative care field with a new tool to drive revenue growth and sustainability; 2) delivering real-time clinical workshops to teach complex and nuanced topics in the care of those with serious illness; and 3) hosting the 2025 CAPC National Seminar and pre-conference workshops to equip palliative care leaders for success. These timely projects respond to pressing concerns among palliative care programs, and provide education and leadership in a time of volatility and uncertainty in US health care. As a result of these initiatives, CAPC anticipates documented revenue increases for palliative care programs, educating hundreds of clinicians in difficult new skills, and catalyzing quality improvement activity among emerging leaders to reduce disparities for people with serious illness in their local communities.
