Barnard College Creates Environments for Increasing Diversity

In a recent article published in Fast Company, Barnard College president Sian Beilock describes the challenges to increasing diversity in the workplace. Colleges and universities, she argues, play a critical role in remedying the lack of diversity, by implementing programs such as Barnard’s Science Pathways Scholars Program (SP)2, an AVDF funded initiative to improve retention of underrepresented minority and first-generation students in STEM fields.
