Columbia University will develop the Constructive Dialogue Asset Mapping & Implementation Initiative to foster a sustainable culture of inquiry, dialogue and pluralism. The project will identify and analyze existing dialogue assets and gaps, engage stakeholders across the university, and develop an evidence-based roadmap to strengthen a culture of inquiry, free expression, and inclusive engagement. Activities include community-led discovery, institutional readiness assessment, a comprehensive asset-mapping process using the Constructive Dialogue Institute’s framework, and the creation of an actionable, university-wide implementation plan supported by school-based champions. Deliverables will include a detailed asset-mapping report, analysis of institutional strengths and barriers, and a strategic roadmap with mechanisms for ongoing evaluation and adaptation. The initiative is expected to catalyze sustainable cultural change, enhance campus dialogue capacity, and position Columbia as a national model for pluralism-centered, dialogue-driven higher education.
