Like the Arthur Vining Davis Foundations (AVDF), Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) understands the importance of proactive engagement and nurturing of our country’s increasing religious diversity, particularly in this time of growing divisions and entrenchment. For 20 years, IFYC has offered training, resources, and support to build interfaith skills and cooperation throughout our expansive network. During this time, we have also elevated our voice as a leader in the national narrative around bridge-building through a wide array of books, articles, speeches, and in-person and virtual conversations and convenings. We believe that a podcast, featuring discussions with influential leaders, thinkers, and practitioners of religious pluralism, is the next logical step in our work.
With AVDF’s support, IFYC will launch The Interfaith America Podcast in the second half of 2022. Hosted by IFYC Founder & President Eboo Patel, the first season will include 10 episodes with a diverse and dynamic group of guests. Widely promoted, we anticipate that the podcast will reach thousands of listeners, and by incorporating the episodes into our programming and offering discussion guides and grant support, hundreds more will be inspired and equipped to help build a true interfaith America.
